Terms of Service
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By using CabbyCarter you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and may hold only one account per person.
2. The service
CabbyCarter is a technology platform that connects riders with independent captains for road transport. Captains are not our employees. We act as an intermediary and aggregator; the transport itself is provided by the captain.
3. Fares and payment
The fare is shown before you confirm a ride. We do not apply surge pricing. Payment is by cash or UPI. Any wallet balance is stored value usable only for rides on CabbyCarter. Captains collect cash fares directly.
4. Cancellations
A cancellation fee may apply to a rider cancellation and, if so, the amount is shown in the app at the time. Once a ride is confirmed, captains cannot cancel it.
5. Your conduct
You must not use CabbyCarter for anything unlawful, unsafe, abusive, threatening or harassing. The in-app chat is for pickup coordination only. Breaking these rules can lead to suspension or termination of your account.
6. Captain obligations
Captains must hold a valid driving licence, vehicle registration and insurance, complete identity verification, keep their documents current, and follow all traffic and transport laws.
7. Safety
Riders can share their trip status with a contact and set emergency contacts in the app. Note that a one-tap SOS / panic button is not part of this release.
8. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by Indian law, CabbyCarter is not liable for the acts or omissions of any rider or captain, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the ride in question.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using CabbyCarter and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or the law. Your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction.
